2021 LiveLighter Canning Show: Full Program Released!

After last year’s event broke audience records for the second year in a row with 13,500+ smiling attendees, sold-out Sessions and won awards, all signs are excitedly pointing to 2021’s LiveLighter Canning Show being bigger and – as the just-released program supports – better than ever!

Offering 100s of things to do and 1000s of things to see, much of it FREE FUN, expect outdoor fields and shaded venues full of entertainment, discoveries and carnival faves across ALL 3 Sessions, plus a diverse range of unique entertainment specific to different Sessions, but appealing to all ages.

With less than 2 weeks to go til this not-for-profit community celebration fills Cannington Exhibition Centre & Showgrounds with maximum fun and wonderment on Friday 5 and Saturday 6 November, we’re excited to reveal more.

🟡🔴🟢🟣 PROGRAM OUT NOW

The Official Program is now available. Expect the best value, inspiring and fun-packed weekend to excite all ages, including Fireworks both nights; The Mega Maze; more rides, games and carnival stalls in Sideshow Wonderland; the Stay & Play Zone; showbags; ZAP Circus; Farmland Animals; more gourmet goodness including in Food World; live music and DJs; face painting; pony rides; local markets; diverse Main Stage and roving performers; community groups and demonstration; and much, much more.
Plus, most of it comes FREE, included with tickets!

THE MEGA MAZE

As part of their 150th year anniversary, key partner City of Canning celebrates with a FREE premier attraction for all ages, unique to this year’s Show. Enter a fun-filled world in The Mega Maze, with tantalising twists and surprising turns curated to tell the story of the City. Take part in a treasure hunt where you will find out sensational facts and tales of the people, places and culture of Canning, all whilst having a whole lot of fun.

HISTORIC AAFC EVENT

Witness the Mayor of City of Canning welcoming the 702 & 713 Squadron Australian Air Force Cadets in a historic Freedom Of Entry Parade. Plus, they will be hosting open days, with plenty of FREE things to see and do, including flight simulators, camouflage face painting and indoor drone flying.

Providing a creative wonderland with community heart, a centre point will be the LiveLighter Canning Show Exhibition. One of WA’s biggest, longest-running community-showcasing exhibitions allowed online entries for the first time ever this year, and we can’t wait to showcase first-time entrants and distribute over $13,000 in cash rewards plus other prizes (including exclusive invites to the Exhibition Awards on Saturday 20 November). Entries for the crafts, arts, cooking etc Sections have just closed, however those with a colourful garden should enter in the Flowers or Fruit & Vegetables Sections by Monday 1 November. Not wanting to have a go and be a part of the Show? Be sure to be inspired by the creativity of the community and visit one of the three main Exhibition venues.

The LiveLighter Canning Show will be held over three different Sessions at Cannington Exhibition Centre & Showgrounds, with each Session having a limited capacity:

Canning Agricultural, Horticultural & Recreational Society (aka CAHRS) is a not-for-profit organisation committed to:

  • promote the development of agricultural, pastoral, horticultural, viticulture and industrial resources of the State of Western Australia.
  • provide platforms, activities, and events that encourage participation in agricultural and horticultural interests, cultural and artistic pursuits, sport and recreational pastimes, which enrich the community through the use of the resources of the Society.

We utilise our Cannington Exhibition Centre & Showgrounds venues to fulfill these missions, with 450+ incredibly diverse events held on average for the last few years. Many of these events, workshops and classes are coordinated by CAHRS, with Canning Show the largest of them. Through various forms since the Canning Agricultural & Horticultural Society formed in 1909, it has been the peak Showcase of our community’s rich talents.
