UNDERSTANDING THE CANNING SHOW
- Like a less overwhelming, more free-focused and hands-on version of the Perth Royal Show, the Canning Show has become one of WA’s biggest agricultural shows; featuring rides, games, animals, showbags, performances, exhibitions, displays, edutainment & more.
- Run by our not-for-profit organisation Canning Agricultural, Horticultural & Recreational Society Inc (CAHRS), the Show celebrates & enriches Perth’s diverse communities.
- Evolved from holding flower shows in Cannington since 1892.
- A successful Exhibition remains a key component, with showcasing and stimulating community talent & creativity an important objective for CAHRS.
- No Canning Show has made a profit since the mid-’70s. We have alternative sources of largely independent income, also used by CAHRS to deepen community involvement through various other events, classes, groups etc.
- The Show is held at Cannington Exhibition Centre & Showgrounds (CECS), also run by CAHRS in a not-for-profit capacity, providing a venue for around 450+ events, festivals, courses, workshops etc each year.

- 3 Sessions spread over Friday 1 & Saturday 2 November.
- Cannington Exhibition Centre & Showgrounds (CECS) will add new venues this year, the Show enjoying further expansion.
- Again cheap, accessible tickets, with much of the entertainment included FREE in ticket price.

LAST FEW CANNING SHOWS
- Ticket and attendance records broken three out of the last four years.
- Last two years averaged 15,000 smiles through the gates per Show.
- On average, $10,000 raised for other not-for-profits/charities per Show.

- Powered by more than 100 volunteers yearly.
- Expanding geographic pull, solidifying reputation as a Greater Perth event.
