What’s your talent?

Whether you want to showcase a lifelong hobby or spark some friendly rivalry with your neighbours, friends or family, this is your stage! By entering, you join a proud legacy dating back to our every first show in 1909. We may have traded cattle for crafts, but every entry is still celebrated with the same local pride.

Today, we are proud to be one of WA’s largest and most accessible exhibitions. With entry fees of only $1 for youth and $2 for adults, we want to ensure that absolutely everyone can join in the fun.

What can you enter?

From home cooking and thriving plants to sewing, painting, and photography, our 650+ categories celebrate every kind of talent. Plus, we have dedicated Youth Classes (ages 17 and under) to showcase the incredible capabilities of our younger creators.

All entries will be displayed proudly at the Canning Show, where you can finally see whose fudgy brownies earned the ultimate family bragging rights this year. Along with the glory, there is a share of $19,000 in cash prizes to be won, plus fantastic prizes donated by generous local businesses.

People’s Choice

Theme: Grown in the Orchard!

In addition to our regular judged classes, the People’s Choice is a special category where the public gets to vote for their favourite exhibit right at the Show!

Be inspired by the orchard: Look closely at the colours, flavours, and textures. Explore the gnarled bark of an old tree, the split-second of falling fruit, or the buzzing life in the blossoms. Whether through a lens, a paintbrush, or a craft, show us how you see the orchard.
